We survived unscathed.

November 10, 2008

Most of us (the staff of PF/PCA) were wired on pure adrenaline (and coffeecoffeecoffee!) this weekend as the festival started in earnest. Crowds were swirling around ticket desks and concession stands, and I saw groups of people standing around discussing the films they’d seen. I worked at the Regent Square Theater this weekend and saw hundreds of people pass through its doors.

To me, the turnout was fantastic and more than worth all the work and planning and stress that goes into putting on an event of this magnitude. The festival is far from over (it ends now on the 23rd with a special surprise screening on that Sunday at the Regent Square), and we’re far from relaxed, but somehow it all comes together when you see people coming out of the theater who hand in ratings of “Excellent”.
